Chapter11 Like Racing?

The manager tried to be polite and opened his mouth, but the bodyguards rushed up, wrapped his mouth tightly with tape, and threw him out.

The bodyguard nodded to him and reported, "The surveillance footage has been retrieved. All videos of this manager sexually harassing women have been compiled. We'll send them to relevant people throughout the city and completely expel him from the art circle."

Caius nodded, and the bodyguards immediately went to execute the order.

Seeing him about to leave, Linnea gathered her courage. "Caius, what a coincidence..."

She met Caius's cold eyes, and her heart sank.

This was bad.

Caius looked like he was truly angry. What had he misunderstood? Was it because she'd been frozen by that voice earlier and hadn't dodged in time, making him think she was willing?

"Caius, it's not what you think..."

She immediately wanted to explain, but the man wasn't interested in hearing her excuses. He turned and strode out.

Caius had said more than once that he hated seeing other men around her, and now she had openly "defied" him. Linnea didn't dare think further. If she let Caius continue to misunderstand, her revenge plan would quickly end in failure.

Without hesitation, she chased after him. "Caius, please wait for me!"

His legs were long and he walked extremely fast. Linnea had no choice but to jog up and grab his sleeve. "I didn't want to have contact with him, Caius. I was trying to buy back the rest of my mother's paintings that were left here, including the last time I went to the gallery, it was because of this too..."

His hand covered Linnea's fingertips, but it wasn't the intimate touch of the past. Slowly and unyieldingly, he pried Linnea's fingers open one by one and continued walking.

Linnea panicked. Caius was a very willful person. When he was angry, he didn't bother listening to anyone's explanations.

So she had no choice but to do everything she could to hold onto Caius. When he opened the rear door and got in, Linnea slipped in like a fish, pinning Caius down on the seat. She hugged him tightly. "Caius, I was wrong. Please forgive me!"

The next second, a scorching hand gripped her waist. In a dizzy spin, the man flipped her over and pinned her firmly beneath him.

Their faces were pressed together, rapid heated breaths flowing between them. Linnea could see the sweat beading on his forehead, a sign of his manic state. Her adrenaline spiked to the peak. She watched him fearfully, worried he would smash his fist into her face.

"I told you, I don't like my things touching garbage."

"Yes, I'm sorry, but there was a reason. It was for my mother's belongings..."

"Why didn't you obey?"

Caius stared at that troublesome mouth. It was rather small, bright red. In bed, paired with passionate moans, it was extremely wonderful. But outside of that, she would use this mouth to say annoying things, trying to provoke his anger and push him to the edge of mania.

As a treatment medication, her effectiveness was truly terrible.

And now, that mouth was trembling, along with her eyes darting around as she thought. He didn't even need to guess to know that mouth was about to utter more words he hated. He really wanted to shut her up.

He thought it, and he would do it.

But when he leaned down to capture those two lips, he suddenly froze.

No, what had he just been thinking? Was he actually being moved by this woman's emotions? Was he going to kiss her first?

Caius had never had this experience. It had always been women who took the initiative to cling to him and serve him. Or he would approach with the mindset of hunting prey, either disguising himself with elegant manners or seizing roughly, savoring the prey in bed thoroughly.

He felt intrigued, but he coldly declared to her, "Linnea, from now on, this relationship between us is over."

Linnea had already prepared herself for a kiss. Though they'd never kissed while sober before, Caius acted without any pattern. This was probably just one of his ways of claiming her, with no special meaning.

But Caius stopped just like that, so abruptly.

Over? If it weren't for Caius's enormous arousal still pressing against her lower body, she might have believed him. Linnea thought to herself.

However, she hadn't forgotten that Caius had terrifyingly strong self-control. He could easily resist temptation, even from herself, who had a unique physical attraction to him.

"Why does it have to end?" Linnea carefully tried to salvage the situation. "Caius, did I make you irritable? I'm sorry. As punishment, you can bite my neck." Caius had once told her after sex that biting intensified her scent and satisfied him more.

Caius didn't move. She gently stroked his neck, fingertips against his throbbing carotid artery, pulling him down. "Caius, I want to apologize to you. Please give me this chance..."

Caius spoke, but it was to the driver. "Back to the beach apartment."

Caius pushed with one hand, the force so strong that Linnea staggered, nearly falling onto the roadside.

Linnea looked at Caius, almost laughing from anger. Why was this man so hard to please?

The driver seemed to just wake up, hurriedly responding "Yes," "Okay," "Right away," and then rushed back to the driver's seat to start the car.

But Linnea suddenly called out to him. "Excuse me."

"Ah, oh, hello..."

"Have you been working hard lately?"

"It's okay, um, nothing particularly special..."

"I left something in the passenger seat. Can I get in and grab it?"

The driver seemed about to hesitate, but Linnea interrupted his thoughts again. "Sorry, I really need it urgently. I'll just get in."

"Is that your key on the floor? Please take a look."

"Oh, okay..."

The driver bent down without hesitation to look.

But when he turned his head to look at the floor for the car key that might have fallen there, he only saw empty ground.

Meanwhile, Linnea had taken the driver's seat, pretending to search while quietly buckling her seatbelt.

Of course, Linnea didn't find any "dropped item" in the passenger seat. But she wasn't anxious. Instead, she casually placed her hand on the steering wheel.

"Caius, I think you're someone who loves excitement. Maybe..."

"You'd enjoy racing?"

At the same time, the driver finally confirmed there was nothing on the ground. He knocked on the window in confusion. "Miss, I think you were mistaken..."

But what hit him was a gust of wind.

The entire car shot out like an arrow from a bow.
