Chapter Three

Bryan's POV

My father, Jack Browne, is a mafia boss. May 16, 2025, was the day he ordered us to kill the Thompson family. It was a birthday party. I and the members of OneHit Gang have successfully destroyed the party.

There was a girl who caught my attention. She has curly auburn hair and amber eyes. She was wearing a red dress on that day. She looked so pretty. I guess I have fallen in love at first sight. I haven't felt this way before. It felt like Cupid had hit me with his arrow. I wanted to see her again, to get to know her better.

"What?" my father asked, enraged, as if it wasn't enough for him that we killed his enemies. "Are you an idiot, Bryan? Why didn't you kill them all?"

"Kill them all?" I iterated.

I was confused what my father was trying to say. Did he mean there was another target aside from that couple named Carl and Brenda Thompson? Did I miss a thing? Why was he so angry?

"Didn't you read the message I sent you?" He asked, the volume of his voice increasing every second that passed by. "Kill the whole Thompson family! Why did you let a rat escape?"

I was speechless. I couldn't grasp my father's words. I watched him in confusion as he walked toward me. His steps were heavy against the floor. This usually happen when he's mad or not in a good mood.

Without saying a word, he punched my face. That kind of punch I've never received from anyone, but I couldn't fight back despite the blood streaming down my nose. He was my father after all. I should respect him even just a little.

"Please, Dad, I don't understand," I said, holding my tears back as I knew he would be more cruel if I cried. He always told me not to cry, because men don't do that and showing emotions is weakness.

"Only one easy task, and yet you failed? I've told you to kill them all, Bryan. All of them!" He exclaimed, finger-pointing at me. "Why did you leave one behind, huh? How could you even understand with that tiny brain of yours?"

Sometimes I wondered if I'm really my dad's son because the way he treated me was so different than how a normal father would treat their child. Perhaps I'm just some abandoned boy he adopted from the orphanage out of his own evil plans, like livestock or an asset to achieve his goals.

Dad pushed my forehead with his two fingers. I almost lose my balance. I clenched my fist and gritted my teeth. I knew I was about to explode. I've been holding these grudges for too long, and I guess it was time to release them.

"What is it?" Dad asked. There was a look on his face that frightened me. I knew he wouldn't hesitate to kill me like what he did to his enemies. "Are you going to fight back now? Did you forget who fed you?"

"No, Dad," I said in a low voice. What was I thinking? I couldn't really bite the hand that fed me. I might be some abandoned child, but still, he wouldn't take me in if there wasn't a little kindness in his heart. "I... I'm sorry for disappointing you."

"Good. At least you know how to apologize. Now leave my sight before I change my mind," he said.

I left the room and went outside the mansion to breathe some air. My blood was boiling. I could have killed him already if he weren't my father. One more humiliation and I'd surely lose my mind.

The next day, I went to Springfield University, although I didn't really like it. I didn't find any importance in going to school, and I hated my classmates. But my father forced me to do it. He threatened to kill me if I wouldn't.

Through our group chat, I messaged my gang members to gather at the cafeteria. I'm the leader of OneHit Gang and recruited those students who have nothing else to do with their lives but cause trouble, just like me.

"Are you sure about this, boss?" Jonas asked. He was the first recruit, my childhood friend, and I trusted him the most. He has short black hair, brown eyes and a tall nose.

"Yeah, I've been holding grudges for this guy since the first day of school. I ignored it at first, but I can't let this pass anymore. Denver told me that he saw him hitting on Cathryne, and they were always together. I want to make him know that he messed up with the wrong guy," I said.

"We've got your back, boss," Denver said, sipping his Chuckie. "Just tell us what to do."

I grabbed his Chuckie and said, "You're too old for this. Why won't we go to a bar and drink after school?"

Denver tried to take his Chuckie back, but I already drank it. He felt really frustrated. I saw him clenching his fist as if he would punch me, but he didn't do it. He already knew he would die if he did.

"Who is this guy anyway?" Francis asked.

"Andre Scott," I said. "No more questions. Let's watch him. He's from the engineering department."

My gang members followed me to the next building. Just perfect. Andre Scott went out from their classroom and went to the toilet. We followed him inside and locked the door.

"You've got a big dick there, Andre," I said, touching his shoulder while he was peeing.

"Bra—Bryan, w—what are you doing here?" he asked, his voice trembled. He immediately put his cock inside his pants and closed his zipper.

"I didn't expect you to have some shame after what you've done." I punched his stomach, making him crouch and growl in pain. "Just a punch? Are you giving up already? Did you think Cathryne would be happy to date a weak guy like you?"

Andre stood straight. He clenched his fist and punched my face, but before he could hit me, Jonas caught his hand. Denver and Francis went behind him and held him tight. Andre struggled against them.

I clenched my fist and punched his face again and again until his nose bled. But I wasn't satisfied yet. I want to kill him for snatching my girlfriend. I've seen him and Cathryne together recently. I have a hunch that they are dating secretly.

"Why are you doing this to me, Bryan?" he asked. His voice couldn't be understood due to the swelling on his mouth.

"Stop acting dumb, Andre. One of my gang members saw you and Cathryne together. Did you really think I wouldn't know? Thank God for messing with me; you'll see your father in hell soon," I said.

"B—but—" he was about to say something, but I didn't let him and punched his face again. He lost consciousness, but it wasn't enough. I want to kill him.

"That's enough, boss," Jonas said.

"Don't try to stop me, Jonas, unless you want to change position with this pathetic guy," I warned him.

"I just want to protect you, boss," Jonas replied, his voice as cold as usual. I didn't know why he joined my gang if he was afraid to see me kill someone. "The principal will suspend you if they find this out."

"I don't need your protection, Jonas. Besides, my father paid you to do your job, didn't he? You can just dispose of this guy's corpse once I'm done," I said.

"I'm not a garbage collector, Bryan. You better stop this before it comes out to the principal. You'll be suspended again or, worse, drop out," Jonas argued.

"Whatever, just let me punch him one more time," I said, clenching my fist very tightly, preparing to release my strongest blow. Andre wouldn't be able to go back to school for a week after this, and he'd learn his lesson not to mess with me again.
