Chapter 5

"Are you crying?" I asked after coughing a few times.

"Shut up," he replied and glared at me fiercely, but his movements were gentle as he lifted me up.

I kept quiet and snuggled obediently in his arms.

I spoke in my mind, "Nathan, hold on. I am almost there. Please wait for me a little longer."
