Chapter 4

‘Forget it then, I'd rather be a toolman.' Anne shook her head repeatedly, not to mention physical combat, just the smell of rot on the body of a bloody corpse made her with a slight cleanliness fetish physically uncomfortable.

Anne learnt her skills and looked at the cards neatly arranged on the bed and asked, ‘But what will happen to these cards if we go out?'

‘Don't worry about being stolen from home.' Henry shook a gold card in his hand, ‘Just transfer all the cards to the car.'

After saying that Henry picked up the mountaineering bag and carried it on his back.

Transferring a dozen mountaineering bags to the hotel entrance, Henry tore up the ‘caravan gold card' and threw it towards the front, only to hear a ‘clattering' sound, a medium-sized caravan appeared, the caravan's shell was covered with a whole circle of iron plates and steel nails, even the tyres had been reinforced to give people a complete sense of security.

Gold card - sturdy small caravan!

By then, the sky had completely dimmed and the city was plunged into darkness, except for the hissing of monsters who knew not where they were, the whole city was filled with an eerie atmosphere.

Inside the caravan, the lights were as bright as day.

Anne sipped her coffee and blew the air-conditioning, methodically continuing to sort the cards, and at its hand lay the dinner - (blue card) four steamed hairy crabs, (blue card) a pot of spicy crayfish.

‘Aren't you going to eat it, it tastes really good, it's the best hairy crab I've ever had.' Annie bit hard on the crab legs.

Henry laughed it off, ‘Eat more, it's going to be busy later.'

Anne bit into the crab legs and went to the passenger seat and asked, ‘Where are we going? If you ask me, we have so many cards, we can use them for a year or two, there's no need to go on any more adventures, right, finding a place to live is the way to go. -Uh, why are you looking at me with that look, I've read many post-apocalyptic novels where the main characters are like that.'

‘First of all, the card is mine, not ours.' Henry waved his fingers, ‘Secondly, novels are different from reality, if you want to survive in the post-apocalyptic world for a long time, you have to take the initiative to scavenge for supplies, arm yourself as much as possible, and if you live to the end, you will definitely die when your resources run out. Do you know, why I chose to act at night?'

Annie shook her head.

‘The blood corpses at night are more berserk, the cards dropped are of higher quality, and, a new kind of monster will appear at night.'

What information could be said and what information could not be said, Henry's heart was like a mirror.

‘A new monster... What is that?' Annie suddenly felt her scalp tighten a little, and a hint of fear grew in her heart.

‘The Night Demon.'

Rose Garden Cell.

With the use of the power card, power was restored to the neighbourhood, and under the lights, people's sense of security soared as hundreds of residents erupted into cheers.

‘It's really worthy of being Morgan Hung, it's so great, from now on you'll be the leader of our community, you have to lead us to survive in this world.'

‘Morgan is great!'

Morgan smiled and waved his hand towards the crowd, ‘It's nothing, don't worry, as long as I, Morgan, am here, those blood corpses won't be able to hurt you.'

‘Our Morgan is someone with a golden talent, killing blood corpses is as simple as eating and drinking water.' A few of Morgan's men seconded.

‘Reid, did you never dream that the man you've always looked down on could also have a time to soar.' Morgan's gaze landed on a plump, wonderful woman, and he laughed evilly, ‘I'll give you another chance to make a choice, now are you willing to marry me?'

Reid grimaced, ‘Morgan, hurry up and put away your villainous face, you're just lucky to pick up a gold card, we can pick it up in the future, what's the point of being complacent?'

‘Calling me small-minded?' Morgan's face stared, rushed over and grabbed Reid's collar, ‘Fuck! If it wasn't for me, all of you would have been eaten by blood corpses, how dare you talk to me like that?'

‘You let go of my daughter! Morgan! What are you doing?'

‘Do you really think there's no law! When order is restored, I'll sue you at the police station!'

Reid's parents saw this and rushed up to stop them.

‘Sue me?'

Morgan narrowed his eyes, killing intent in his heart, he actually chopped an axe towards Reid's mother's head, only to hear a click, the woman's head was split in two, she didn't even have the chance to scream out and died on the spot.

‘Ah!?'

‘Morgan ...... you!'

The residents were stunned, Reid and his father were also dumbfounded, they didn't expect Morgan to be so ruthless and kill when he said he would.

‘Mum!!!'

‘Wife!!!'

Reid's father and daughter let out a cry of pain.

Morgan licked his lips, gripped Reid's hair and dragged her away from the corpse, ‘Look down on me, right, curse me behind my back, right, I'll let you know today, how bright and open-minded I am! Someone come, strip this stinking cousin of her clothes for me! Let's see how I'll fuck her solidly in public!'

‘Morgan, Morgan ah... You can't do this.'

‘We're all in the same neighbourhood, it's not good for you.'

Someone couldn't see past it and spoke out to advise, but his voice was weak.

‘Not good?' Morgan was happy, ‘Without Lao Zi, you all died long ago, now in this neighbourhood, Lao Zi is in charge, who dares to say a word of no, Lao Zi will cut whoever it is!'

‘Morgan ...... you beast! You let go of Miao Miao! Let go of her!'

‘I'll fuck you!'

Another axe slammed down, and Reid's father's head was chopped to pieces.

‘Ah ......!!!'

Both parents were killed in a short period of time, Reid couldn't take the stimulus and let out a scream and fainted on the spot.

‘Fainted? It doesn't matter, I'll go on as usual, ha, hahahahaha!' Morgan laughed maniacally as he unbuckled his trousers and stepped forward.

The hundred or so residents couldn't bear to look at him, so they all looked away.

At this moment, no one noticed that at the end of the darkness, there was a huge body that was rushing towards the district at a speed of more than ten metres per second, and behind it, followed by dozens of staggering blood corpses.

......

Inside the small sturdy caravan.

‘If the Night Demon is so terrifying, why are we bothering with it...'

Annie's entire body went numb after hearing Henry's description of the Night Demon.

Fast, strong, high defence... Except for the blindness of the eyes, all other attributes were basically pulled full circle, an invincible existence!

‘High risk means high gain, the Night Demon can drop silver cards at the very least, and if you're lucky, it can drop gold cards or even Legendary Colour Cards.'

‘But didn't you say it's so powerful that a fully armed squad of a dozen or so people couldn't take it?'

‘The Night Demon is powerful, I'm not weak either, we're almost there, just hide in the car and turn on your aura later.'

The caravan turned the corner into a parking space in the Rose neighbourhood.

Lights flickered in the small area, on the large open space, dozens of blood corpses were frantically gnawing on the corpses, among the corpses there was a behemoth lying on its back, eyeballing two to three metres tall, weighing over five hundred pounds, its bare body consisting of pure muscle lines.

‘That would be the Night Demon...' Anne covered her mouth, her eyes wider than brass bells, she couldn't imagine how a human could win against such a monster.

Henry quietly extinguished the car lights, pulled out the car keys, and walked down with the black knife Chopper Gold in one hand.

There were many ways for him to deal with the night demon, the easiest of course was to use the Timberwolf sniper rifle to remotely blow his head off.

But he was eager to try out what level of combat power he had reached, and most importantly, the rewards for melee kills were much better than long range, this was the result of rigorous testing in his previous life.

Fifty metres... Forty metres... Thirty metres...

When both sides were still twenty metres away, the Blood Corpses smelled the scent of the uninvited guests, and they dropped their delicious meal to roar and charge over.

Henry calmly pulled a knife twist and slashed out horizontally - poof!

Six blood corpses were split in two!

With another blade, another five were cut down!

More than twenty blood corpses were decapitated as they were without even touching the corner of Henry's coat.

Even though Henry had not mastered any sword-type skills at the moment, with the killing power of the Black Blade Chopping Gold and the combat experience from his previous life, killing these ordinary blood corpses was as simple as eating and drinking water.

‘Patter~'

‘Patter~'

The Night Demon spat out a letter as thick as a child's arm and slowly turned its body to face Henry.

It had a certain level of intelligence compared to the blood corpses, and its intuition told it that the human in front of it was very strong and needed to be dealt with carefully.

Henry shook off the blood on his black blade and took the first step.

‘Whew!'

The Night Demon also moved!

It was hard to imagine that the Night Demon's five-hundred-odd pound body could leap seven or eight metres in a single bound, as if it were a small hill crushing towards Henry, its two-foot-long sharp claws swinging madly!

‘Be careful!' Annie covered her mouth and mumbled in her mind.

‘Brush!'

Henry drilled underneath the Night Demon with a sliding step, and his black blade, Chopping Gold, stabbed violently upwards!

‘Pfft!'

Without any suspense, the Night Demon's body was stabbed through, splattering plasma and collapsing to the ground.

But it didn't die, instead it struggled madly on the ground, trying to get up and fight again.

Henry didn't give it a chance, rushing up and smashing his right fist heavily on its twisted, monstrous face.

One punch! Two punches! Three punches!

Ten punches! Twenty punches!

In the end!

The Night Demon's head was smashed hard!

‘Whew...'

Henry exhaled a mouthful of cloudy air and beckoned towards Annie, ‘Come over here.'

Annie warily got out of the car and ran over, resisting the urge to vomit, and began to rummage through the corpses for trophies.
