Chapter 5

Being Focused

Clara sighed after brushing her hair, she took a look in mirror and saw a very horrible image, it was like a flash one she didn't and couldn't understand. She saw herself in another form, a scary form one that need to ask a special being what it meant.

Unknown to dear Clara, the reborn itself gave them some powers, for Sophie she remembers what happened and she is given a chance to change it by the moon goddess herself, if you ask me Destiny seems to be by her.

Sophie decided to take a walk to school, she needed time to gather her thoughts and be cool like she knew nothing, Sophie wears her emotions on her skin, her countenance alone shows how she is feeling and how she is but she already made a promise that this new life of hers she will make things right.

'I need to stay away from Clare, she threw our friendship away to be the Luna of the clan but I will be the Luna, I already know her plans and I will execute them" Sophie thought to herself but was soon distracted as she heard someone calling her name.

'Sophie! Sophie! Sophie!" she heard and she turned around to see who had to been calling from the distance and it was her, the saying speak of the devil and he will appear should be rephrased to think of the devil and he will show his face and smile at you, she saw Clara.

Panting like a dog, Clara ran up to her best friend and hugged her but she didn't budge, she stood like a log as her best friend hugged her.

Shocked, Clara made a statement

'What is wrong, you didn't hug me back" Clara said with a sad tone as she held her hands.

Sophie looked straight into her eyes and had a flashback of how she turned her back on her on the hospital bed, how cold she was and determined in a heartbeat to take away her child even if it would lead to her death, she remembered how she was determined Clara was to take her position, she isn't a friend, she is an just an opportunist.

'Oh, I had a long night and I couldn't sleep, that is why I feel so grumpy, you know I love you

'Of course I know that, why else would you be cold to me?" Clare laughed in an evil manner, it made Sophie think so hard.

Sophie had tried to keep a straight face but she couldn't.

'Oh I know what will cheer you up just right, you need Lucas to cheer you up, right?" Clare said to jane as she shoved her shoulders into hers.

'Let us go already" Clare said cheerfully

But she had other thoughts in her, she needed a plan to separate those love birds.

'Let's go for our class already" Sophie said as she just wanted to be straight enough and act like everything is fine.

After a long boring class,they decided to go to the park.

Sophie spaced out so many times that if she was asked what was thought today, she will barely remember, she had been thinking of what to do and how to execute her plans but right now she can't, her plan includes her un loving Lucas.

'Sophia, who do you think will be the next Luna?" you know all the girls talked about it today and they all wanted to know, I mean Lucas is so sweet and calm and handsome, even if he is my friend I can't deny the fact that he is very very attractive" Clare said jokingly and it made Sophie realise she had always been that way, Clare had always shower signs that she liked Lucas but because they are friends, she didn't take meaning to it but this time, she vowed to take meaning to it

"Whatever, I don't really like Lucas that way and I don't seem him like that, I wonder why all you guys are drooling around him for, and besides who ever the next Luna will be, the universe universe decide, let us go for lunch, okay? all this talk about the Luna and the Alpha gives me migraine you know" Sophie said as she changed the topic.

"You are right" Clare replied her as she clapped her hands, Sophie couldn't place her hands on how easy it is for Clare to switch up and be what she experienced in her past live.

"Okay, what should we order then?" Clare asked Sophie as she was about to get them eat.

"Just get me donuts and a drink, I don't want to eat so much you know, I need to keep fit and have this shape" Sophie said in an attempt to keep things normal as they should if she didn't remember all this.

"You know what you are absolutely right, whenever I see some of the previous Luna's they all had great shape and it is really admirable you know, you are already acting like one of them" Clare said with excitement as she left to their food.

"Hey princess" She heard the nickname that only her Lucas used for her, his voice is so different and distinct, she could easily identify his voice even in the midst of hundreds, that is one of the abilities and gifts of being a Luna, she was destined for it.

Even of if it takes hundreds of years before destiny plays it roll, The moon goddess is willing to do that for her sake.

How could she turn? how would she? Even in her past live, she loved him till her death, she always wanted him and she was willing to keep her child but he switched so easily and let her go like she wasn't worth anything, His very own Luna!

"you don't need to call me princess, you can call me Sophia like everyone else"
