Weeks later, Olivia discovers she is pregnant and also now a wolf and Lyon trains her so she could go back and take revenge on Matteo for killing her father. Lyon has no idea that Leah had been working with Frigeton to attack them so she stays close and still harbors her feelings towards Lyon.

Matteo goes into hiding after the attack and most of his people are killed. When Olivia decides she's ready, she begins working with Lyon to track down Matteo and finish him off although a part of her is unsure she'll be able to do it because she has feelings for him. After a drunken night, Leah and Lyon have sex and she later finds out she's pregnant weeks later.

Lyon is able to track down Matteo somewhere in the West and they set out for the attack. After they're gone, Leah finds out through one of Lyons' men that he was behind the death of Olivia's father and not Matteo. She tries to reach Olivia to stop her but she can't. She decides to go after them, hoping she makes it in time.

When Lyon and Olivia find Matteo, she unleashes her wolf and goes after him but he refuses to fight back because he doesn't want to hurt her as he scents a baby on her. Lyon fights off a few of Matteo's men and while they're all at it, Leah appears and tells Olivia to stop. She tells Olivia the truth about Lyon killing her father and Olivia finally believes the same thing Matteo had been saying.

Before Olivia could gather herself, Lyon grabbed Leah and was about to kill her when she told him that she was pregnant for him. He hesitates and Matteo takes the opportunity to kill him off.

After Lyon is killed, every wolf accepts Matteo as they're true alpha and Matteo and Olivia together restore peace between Frigeton and Brookehurt. Leah decides to keep her baby and raise him in Brookehurt with other werewolves.

Characters

Olivia Samantha Haynes She's 21. Born in mid-April and she lives with her stepdad—Pete Haynes. Her father died when she was only six from brain tumour. Six years later, her mother remarried, making Pete her stepdad. She and her stepdad a nice relationship, but when her mother fell ill the year after, Pete started spiralling. He became a chain smoker and occasionally did drugs. Her mother eventually died, and things only got worse. Olivia was in and out of foster care. She got out at 18, but rather than spite Pete, she returned to him. Pete swore never to get back to drugs. And it appeared that everything was finally okay.

Matteo Roberto-Macini He's 24 (some months younger than Lyons). He is the only child of Eduard Roberto-Macini and Clara Macini. Of Italian decent, his family prided themselves in the making of pure quality wine—ultimately establishing a multimillion dollar company Vintage. As a kid, Matteo was shy. He spoke little and didn't get along with other kids because of his speech impediment, and his strong accent. This made him withdrawn, only relating well with his parent. Matteo was a lover of nature. Whenever his parents were away for one business trip or the other, he would sneak out of the house(even after he eventually was caught and warmed not to do so) and get into the woods. There he would inhale the fresh air and would watch squirrels. A few days shy to his 10th birthday, Matteo ventured into the woods again. This time, he didn't have the adventure he needed. He was tracked down by a wolf and was bitten on his back. He managed to survive the attack, only because this wolf let him go. Matteo found his way home, only to find out the following morning that his wounds were gone.

Three months later, his parents died. A car accident. And that was because, he was shifting. That particular night was the night of the full moon. Matteo morphed into a wolf(though not at home or in anyone's view) and wandered off. His parents were on a road trip; Matteo happened to dash out of the woods, taking the driver by surprise. The crash claimed the lives of both his parents and the driver. Matteo never fully forgave himself for this.

Lyons Taylor Fredrickson He's 24. The first and only son of his parents Baker Fredrickson and Gen Fredrickson. He has (had) two other siblings (Peggy and Cher). Peggy unfortunately died when she was only 12 silver poisoning. He too hasn't recovered from the loss, and he holds one person accountable Matteo. He once had a fling with Peggy, but ended things abruptly. And on a bad note too. Peggy discovered she was carrying Matteo's child, but rather than confront him, she decided to abort it. She was at it when depression set in, and she decided to take her life too.
