Chapter 2

I heard how the mirror broke into a million pieces and I first landed on my little sink before I fell completely to the floor and I felt so many pieces of the mirror got stuck in my skin. During all this I have not made a noise at all, but now I couldn't help but letting out a little whimper. Victor run out out of my room and I had to get up to take care of all the new injuries he left me with.

End of flashback

I looked at my body in the mirror and I won't lie, I feel nothing but disgust when I look at my own body. Its a color chart of black, purple, blue, red, yellow and green. I have so many scars from but cuts made with everything you can think of! I look at my shoulder and I see its dislocated but I can't put it back in place without some help. Maybe I should call Kai for help with that after school, he is good with that kind of stuff. I made a mental note to call him when I'm walking towards school. But for now I need to take a quick shower and make breakfast to Margarethe and Victor.

After I got out of the bathroom I was already done dressed, brushed my teeth, my long blond hair was put up in a messy bun and I had some sweatpants, hoodie with a sports bra on under it. I had also put some waterproof concealer on the bruises that is visible on my face, neck and hands. I made sure my school backpack was packed and I also have all my savings in there because I don't trust that Margarethe and Victor to not snoop around in my room when I'm not here. I need to save a little more before I can safely get away from this hell.

I make my way downstairs slowly because my shoulder and ribs hurt like shit. Once I'm down I make my way to the living room first to pick up all the trash they left there last night and empty beer bottles. I have to clean it up a little if not I will end up with a new beating tonight. I start with all the trash first, I pick it all up then head towards the kitchen to toss it in the trash bin. I walk back to the living room to pick up all the empty beer bottles, then make my way back to the kitchen to put them in the bin for empty glass bottles. When I'm in the kitchen I hear some movement upstairs and I know I'm in for it now, I most have made a bit too much notice so I woke up one of them.

I go to the fridge to take out some things to make breakfast with. Looking inside the fridge I don't see much there so that means I have to go grocery shop after work today. But I see we have some cheese and ham so I guess they will get a cheese and ham sandwich. Once I finished the sandwiches and put some plastic foil over to keep it fresh and not have some of these nasty flies get on it i suddenly felt a wack to my head and I heard some glass break. I starting to see some stars but I take a slow deep breath and turn around to see my dear ol mom standing there with a broken beer bottle in her hand.

"Because of all the noise you make you stupid slut you woke me up" she sneered out. I look down on the floor because they don't like it when I make eye contact. "I'm truly sorry ma'am, I will be more careful and quiet from now on" I whispered just loud enough for her to hear. "You better your ungrateful bitch or I will make sure Victor fuck you so hard that you won't be able to walk for a few days" she said with her usual sneer before she took her plate with her sandwich and went to the living room to watch tv while eating. And I took that as my que to leave, so I grabbed my school bag I put by the front door earlier and made my way out.

I was walking slowly towards school, its about a fifteen minute walk from home to school. When I got about five minute away from home I figured I was far enough so I pulled my phone out of the little room in my backpack and called Kai.

Kai - "Hello sunshine"

I chuckled a little hearing his groggy morning voice.

Me - "Hello Kai"

I said with with a small smile on my face.

Kai - "What have I done to get woken up by the most beautiful girl in the world?"

I could hear the smirk he had on his face by now.

Me - "Well that my dear is because you are the best friend I could ever ask for and you are the brother I never got"

I said with a little laughter in my voice.

Kai - "Way to shoot a guy down honey"

He said with a chuckle.

Me - "I'm sorry dear, but I actually called because I need your help with something!"

I said while turning my voice a little more serious at the end. And I could hear Kai sat up in bed though the phone.

Kai - "Honey you know I will always do whatever I can for you, what can I help you with?"

I could hear the concern in his voice, because he know I normally don't ask for help.

Me - "You see, I fell down the stairs yesterday" (which is not really a lie) "It ended with my shoulder got dislocated and I need help getting it back in, and you know I can't really go to the hospital for that, and if I go to the school nurse they will call home and my parents don't like it when I bother others with my medical shit. " I explained to him, it's more that Margarethe and Victor don't want me to reveal that they abuse me. That will just get me in more trouble. I did do that one time before, and that ended extremely badly for me, but I know I can trust Kai and our friends.

Me - "So I was wondering if you could set it straight after school so I can function at work today?" I asked with hope laced in my voice.

Kai - "Honey, are you telling me, you are walking to school with a dislocated shoulder right now? And are planning to walk around like that till after school, get it straighten then go to work with an incredibly sore shoulder?" I could hear the frustration in his voice when asking me this.

Me - "Yes to all of that, you know I can't afford to take time of work, and you know my parents are strict when it comes to school!"
