Introduction
“I know your wolf Ryder doesn't want to reject me, but I know you've already made up your mind.” She said, making me look at her in confusion. No one knows my wolf's name, not even my father or mother, so how did she know my wolf's name, and how was she able to tell that he didn't want to reject her?
“How do you know his name?” I asked, genuinely curious.
“It doesn't matter,” she said, looking down.
"Okay, let's get on with it then. And since you don't have a wolf, it won't be that painful.” I said, looking at her with pity. “I, Derek Aston, future Alpha of Moonstone pack, reject you, Tiana Ealy, as my mate and Luna.” As soon as I finished speaking, I felt our bond break.
It was so painful that I almost fell; my chest was on fire, and a few tears escaped my eyes. What is happening? Why isn't she in pain? I don't understand how she was still standing. Even if she doesn't have a wolf, she was supposed to feel the pain of the mate bond break. But she just stood still like nothing happened.
“Ryder, why doesn't she feel the rejection?” I asked my wolf. He must have a clue why she seemed unbothered by all of this.
“I don't know; she must be powerful or something,” he said, whimpering as he retreated to the back of my mind.
I walked away from her quickly to avoid her finding out that I felt the pain of the broken mate bond. Although it wasn't completely broken, as she had not accepted it.
Abominable, worthless, wretched, and pathetic are the words Tiana hears on a daily basis. She had grown so accustomed to those words that hearing them didn't make her flinch anymore. Being the Beta's daughter doesn't protect her from the harsh bullying of the pack, not when her own family is one of her worst tormentors in the pack. She met her wolf when she was thirteen—something that was unheard of, but despite that, her eighteenth birthday passed without her making her first shift, officially making everyone in her pack conclude that she was wolf-less.
She discovers that Derek, the soon-to-be Alpha of Moonstone Pack, is her fated mate, but he rejects her for being weak and wolf-less. He ordered her not to tell anyone, he couldn't have his father finding out that he rejected his mate. When she learnt that Derek was going to mark her stepsister as Luna, she ran away and went rogue, never to be seen again.
What will happen when Derek meets her in a rival pack living her best life?
Will Derek be able to withstand losing Tiana to another man after finding out that his once-rejected mate is the only person who can save his pack?
Will Tiana be able to forgive the people of Moonstone Pack after how they treated her in the past?
What role will Theo play in her life, and what will happen when Tiana finds out the truth about the pack she's been hiding in?

Just finished this book, and I'm so confused. It just stops suddenly. Over 100 chapters that lead you to no ending and then picks up with other characters never mentioned before.
