Chapter 45 Bastard

Patricia couldn't argue and said, "Let's wait for George. If he's okay with it, I am too."

Isabella smiled, "Thanks."

John brought over some soup, "Mrs. Isabella Spencer, this is from Mrs. Patricia Spencer. It's good for you and the baby. It's a bit bitter, but I have sugar cubes. You need to drink it all."

Isabella felt stuck.

Patricia gave her an encouraging look.

Isabella thought, 'Why drink this if I'm not pregnant? George, why didn't you tell Patricia?'

"Patricia, can I drink it later?" Isabella asked reluctantly.

Patricia took the soup from John and blew on it, "It needs to be hot. Come on, there are sugar cubes."

Isabella reluctantly took the bowl and gulped it down, thinking, 'So bitter.'

After drinking, she quickly took a sugar cube.

Patricia, satisfied, patted her gently, "Rest a bit. If you need anything, just tell John."

"Got it."

Once Patricia and John left, Isabella grabbed her phone and started complaining to George.

One voice message after another.

"Didn't I ask you to tell Patricia I'm not pregnant? Why didn't you say anything?"

"Do you know how bitter this soup is?"

"It's ridiculous to make someone who's not pregnant drink this soup."

"George, you just wanna see me suffer, don't you?"

Far away in Stellar City, George listened to the messages, smiling.

Caleb, next to him, was surprised by George's expression.

Even when he was with Juniper, he didn't show his feelings so openly.

George replied, "You idiot, if she tells you to drink, you just drink? Can't you pour it out?"

Isabella quickly responded, "Two people were watching me. How could I pour it out?"

"Then I'll drink it for you next time," George laughed.

"You're crazy," Isabella replied, then put down her phone.

Feeling tired, Isabella decided to rest.

Halfway through her nap, Elodie called, asking her to bring a dress to a hotel.

"What are you doing at a hotel?" Isabella asked.

Elodie hesitated, "I got my clothes dirty, so I came to shower and change. Hurry, I need it for the choir performance later."

"Alright, wait for me."

Isabella grabbed the dress, hailed a cab, and went to the hotel Elodie mentioned.

After hanging up, Elodie warned Nathan, "Don't make me lie to her again. We're good friends. I don't want her to lose trust in me because of you."

"I was just afraid she wouldn't come. Alright, I know, just this once," Nathan promised.

"The last time," Elodie said angrily.

"Okay, the last time," he said.

When Isabella arrived at the hotel, she got the room card from the front desk and entered the room, only to find Elodie wasn't there.

The window was open, and a strange floral scent filled the room.

"Elodie, are you here?" Isabella called out.

"Isabella!" Suddenly, the door opened, and Isabella turned around, surprised. "Nathan?"

"I had Elodie ask you to come," Nathan said.

Isabella was confused, her brow furrowing. "You want to talk? Why a hotel?"

"I want a serious talk," Nathan said, pulling out a chair and pointing to the one next to him. "Sit down."

"I think we've talked enough." Isabella tried to leave but found the door locked.

"Nathan, why did you lock the door?" Isabella coughed from the floral scent. "Open it."

"Isabella, you can't leave." Nathan walked towards her. "I'm not letting you go today."

Isabella backed away, "What do you mean?"

"To make love to you," Nathan said bluntly.

Isabella was scared. "I'm married to George. Do you really want to cross him? What about Elodie and Brenda? George isn't someone to mess with."

"If I cared, I wouldn't be doing this." Nathan pressed on, and Isabella's head grew dizzier from the floral scent, her consciousness fading.

"Isabella, I'll treat you well, like when we were kids. We'll be great together. George isn't right for you. Only I understand you." Nathan pushed Isabella onto the bed.

Her mind was foggy. 'This is an aphrodisiac. I've experienced this before,' she thought. "Did you drug me?"

"Yes, the floral scent is the aphrodisiac. The more you inhale, the faster it works, and the more you'll need me."

"Bastard," she shouted, struggling to push Nathan away.

As Nathan was about to kiss her, the doorbell rang. Annoyed, he got up to open the door.

Juniper complained, "What took you so long? Why the rush? Relax, the only way to get rid of this drug is by having sex."

She walked up to Isabella, whose face was flushed, and took out her phone to snap a few photos. "Nathan, you don't mind if I send these to George, do you?"

"Is that necessary?" Nathan was hesitant.

"If I don't send them, do you think George will kick Isabella out of the Spencer family?" Juniper adjusted her phone and took another photo of Isabella's open collar.

Isabella clung to herself tightly. 'This aphrodisiac is stronger than the one Joseph used on me before. I'm almost at my limit,' she thought.

She pinched her thigh hard, the pain keeping her from losing consciousness too quickly.

"Isabella, struggling is pointless. I've already sent the photos to George. He doesn't trust you as much as you think. Do you think he'll still want you?" Juniper taunted.

"Juniper, why are you doing this to me?" Isabella said, trembling from the drug's effects.

"How can you say I'm doing this to you? Nathan loves you too much. I'm just helping him. You should be grateful." Juniper laughed and took several photos of Nathan kissing the powerless Isabella, sending them to George.
