Chapter 2

“Well, your friend is going to get you put away for a very long time, unless I rip your head from your body first” Mikah said calmly, then walked out.

Calian and Nicklaus followed him, leaving a sobbing Maxi in the cell.

Mikah was making his way to his car, “Hey wait, where are you going?” Niklaus asked.

“I’m gonna go get Delany” Mikah said without looking back.

“Okay wait, I’m coming with you, I'm getting a murdery vibe from you” Nickluas said. He turned back to Calian and said " You stay here and look after Aja Instead”

Calian sighed "Okay" he said, turning around and walking back into the house. He didn't have the strength to argue because all he wanted was to stay close to Aja anyways.

He walked back into Aja's room and sat on the couch again. Leny was asleep next to Aja's bed she had dozed off holding her hand. He smiled, Aja has become such an important person in all of their lives. He got closer to her bed, placed his hand on her face and rubbed her cheek with his thumb.

"Wake up princess” Calian whispered, "We all miss you” then he placed a kiss on her forehead.

A few days later…….

Aja woke up feeling sore and exhausted, she took a deep breath and fluttered her eyes open. she tried to move her arm but felt something attached to it "ouh!” she said. she looked down at her hand and saw a needle sticking out connected to an IV drip.

“What the hell?" she said.

She felt something shifting next to her, she looked over and saw Leny sitting up in her chair rubbing her eyes “Aja?” she asked groggy.

"Leny whats going on? "she said

Leny looked up at her " You're awake!” she said. She started laughing and hugged her "You're awake!"she said again.

“ Yeah I am” Aja said confused, as she pulled back she realized that Leny was crying.

“Leny, what's wrong?” she asked, nervously.

“You were in a coma” she said “ I thought... I thought.. But you’re awake” she smiled, while wiping her tears.

The door flew open making both of them jump and look over, Mikah rushed in with Calian and Nicklaus right behind him.

Mikah rushed into the room, walked up to the bed and gave Aja a hug, and a kiss on her forehead “You’re okay” he said and smiled at her like a kid.

Aja sat on the bed and looked at him and Leny, confused and a little shock showed in her eyes. Calian tried to stay calm as he walked closer to the bed, he wanted to rap his arms around her and never let her go. But he didn’t, after all it was his fault she almost died. He came near her bed and grabbed her hand and squeezed it.

“We are so glad you are okay” he whispered.

“Can someone explain to me what happened? I was in a coma?” she asked as she cleared her throat looking a bit confused.

“Yes, you were poisoned, it could have killed you, you’ve been out of it for a week,” Leny said, wiping her tears. She lifted up the glass of water next to her bed and made her drink some.

Aja looked at them in horror ”Poisoned?” she asked “I don’t understand who...how?” she asked, looking at everyone, gulping down the water.

“It's my fault Aja... I am so sorry. Delany did this, her friend helped her do it.” he said, looking down at his hands. “I’m so sorry, you could have died” he whispered, swallowing the lump in his throat.

“Calian..” Ajasaid softly.

“Enough it's not your fault that bitch is a psycho!” Leny said. “ Although I did warn you multiple times, about that fucking cunt” Leny screamed.

“Alright, kids, no more arguing around the patient,” Nicklaus said smoothly. “Let's take it easy, she just woke up,” he said.

“How are you feeling little wolf?” he asked Aja.

“Oh I am okay, a little sore and kinda hungry actually,” she said

“Good, Aunty should be getting here soon, she’s been informed and she’s on her way. I think we should wait until she gets here before we feed you anything.”

Aja nodded at him and smiled, then she looked up at Calian “So where is Delany now?” she asked

“We already took care of her, don’t worry doll” Mikah said with a wicked smile.

Aja gasped, “You didn’t….” she shook her head.

“No honey, she wasn’t killed or anything,” Leny said.

“Okay,” Aja said relieved.

“Good? she almost killed you, she deserved to die. I wish I could have done it myself” Mikah said coldly.

Aja looked at his face and said softly “But I am okay Mikah, I’m alive” Aja said.

Mikah looked back at her with lips in a thin line and nodded his head.

“So how was it taken care of?” she asked.

“Usually, a pack handles things like this internally, like exiling her from the pack. But this was a special situation so we involved the supernatural board” Mikah said mischievously.

“A special situation?”Aja furrowed her brows

“Yeah” Mikah said looking away quickly

“Oh goddess, thank you” Yamiel walked into the room, she hurried to Aja’s side and hugged her. She smiled at her then kissed her forehead.

“Okay, everyone needs to get out, so that I can do my job.” she ushered everyone out “Thank you” she said as they all waved at Aja.
