I had been sitting in the living room since I got home. The teddy bear sat in front of me on the small coffee table, its obsidian eyes and cute little smile staring back at me ominously. My eyes hadn't left it as if I was waiting for it to jump up and attack me.

The next few days went surprisingly well. After the awkward encounter outside the bathroom, I barely saw Aiden again although his presence was very much visible in the house. The first thing I noticed was the masculine scent that filled the air as steam pooled out of the bathroom and wrapped around me. A second later my eyes landed on a man stepping out of the bathroom.

The bell ringing out from within the school officially announced that summer break was over and that another year of school had begun. For some it was an exciting time, catching up with friends and telling stories of what they got up to. Some people looked the same while others looked different. There was an energy in the air, a faint hum of excitement exuding from everyone.
