This story is about a girl named Lila who was born to a human mother Melody and vampire hybrid father Lance . Lance did not know what he was until his father a vampire king came looking. His bloodline will allow vampires to eat human food and walk in the day. Lance was drawn to Melody because she was a direct descendant of Adam and Eve. A hybrid can only make another true hybrid if their mate is a descendant of that bloodline. Melody had to go through a test by having sex with multiple other vampires during a one night ritual to prove she is going to be loyal to Lance. Once the test is past she will be properly married in the eyes of the vampire coven. Lance and Melody eventually have a baby girl, Lila, that they hide from the king. They know her fate will be the same as Melody's and they do not want their daughter to suffer the same awful experience as she did. An opposing coven figures out Lila is a hybrid and does a recon mission to get close to her. Eventually they have to hide within the vampire king's coven. Lila will propose a list of men her grandfather and father approve of and they have to apply to date her. She falls for two of them, but one of them will betray her and she is able to make her choice, but not after going through hell.
