Camilla. An Italian American whose parents were allegedly killed in an auto accident, is attending law school in New York City. Camilla was oblivious to what her parents had actually been doing with their careers, kept in the dark by her family for her entire life. Her brother completely cuts off contact with her after he graduates from high school. The only family she speak with is her Nonna, who took her in when her parents died.
What Camilla doesn't know about her parents and the past suddenly comes back around to her front door. Camilla is a beautiful and intelligent woman who is extremely perceptive. When notices that she is being followed, her world starts to change. Will her parents' deceit end up getting Camilla killed, or will it be her savior?
Camilla is desperate to speak to her brother, asking her Nonna for assistance as things start to get scary for her. She feels paranoid and unstable, wondering if she's imagining everything around her that seems off.
The Chicago Mafia boss is after Camilla and she has no idea. The boss of the biggest mafia family in New York City was asked to track her down and send her back to Chicago. Something about the entire situation doesn't seem legitimate to the NY Mafia, and they use her roommate unknowingly as a source of information. It's possible that Camilla's savior is her absent brother. Will he communicate in time?
