Chapter Three
Elena’s pov
“But father,” I turned to where Matilda sat at the sound of her voice. “I heard the Alpha is very ugly and unhinged. What If he kills her before she can bear his children?” My blood ran cold.
Matilda sounded worried, but the mirth in her eyes proved that she was only worried she wouldn’t be able to witness my death.
“That should not be any of your concern, my dear. From now henceforth, she’s no daughter of mine so I don’t care what happens to her. Whether she lives or dies is nothing we should bother ourselves with.” My father’s chilling words broke my heart.
“No please,” Tears shielded my vision as I dropped to my knees. I watched my father stand as If to leave and I immediately clung to his ankles. “Father, please. Please don’t do this to me, I’m your daughter!” I screamed, shaking my head hard. “I can’t be with that man, please Father!”
Even as he tried to pry his leg off my grip, stepping hard on me with the other leg, I refused to let go.
“Royce, have the maid pack up her belongings. Every single one of them! David, take this thing away from my sight, and ensure she’s held bound until Lucian’s men come for her.”
“No, please, father no…” I held onto his leg still, but David was strong and had me in his grasp soon. I heaved, feeling all the air in my lungs stop flowing as he gripped me tightly around the waist.
My eyes, bloodshot with tears stared at my retreating father’s back as he left with Patricia and Matilda who barely paid any heed to me.
I wanted to plead for my life and beg. If I even had to live as an Omega here then so be it, but why would he sell me off? He hated me, but did he resent me this much?
I had already stopped thrashing, a wave of fatigue and nausea covering my entire body like a blanket. Even as David lowered me to the ground, I just lay there, feeling the cold floor against my numb cheek.
It was like a soothing reminiscence amid all the chaos today. I almost wished I could just lay there and sleep for the rest of my life.
A maid entered. “Sir David, we found that the Barnes eldest daughter had already packed her things in her room.”
“Take it outside, the guard will load it in the car when it gets here.” David’s voice sounded close, it meant he was still towering over me.
Even as the maid left, leaving us alone in the office, he didn’t move an inch.
Suddenly, he lowered his body, and I flinched, feeling his hand run up my legs, up to my thigh. “You were planning on running away, weren’t you? And without me? How do you think I’d feel about that?” His voice was warm and mocking
A surge of strength fueled every inch of my body, and using the bit of strength I had, I thrashed around violently, trying to push him away. “Get away from me, you bastard!”
He slapped me hard across the face, and I stilled from shock, just before he pulled me into his embrace again. “If you push me, Elena, I’ll hurt you so bad even Lucian won’t be able to recognize you.”
“I would rather die in Lucian’s arms than let you touch me. Leave me alone you …”
He chuckled deviously. “What can you do? At most, you only have your life which will be taken away from you in a few hours. It’s such a pity that Alpha will be the one to have you first. You really mean he’s going to touch you and take your virginity away, huh? Maybe I should have waited until I’ve had you before letting you know I had been with that muddle-brained sister of yours.”
His chuckle was dark, his expression twisted as he whispered into my ears. “She’s so easy to manipulate. I’ll have that crown in my hands in no time.”
I gritted my teeth, filled with seething rage. His arms were back on my thigh again, moving dangerously close between my legs. My breath was hitched up to my throat. I was helpless, and under his grip, my skin seemed to crawl. When we were together, a single touch from him could make me flare up in desire and excitement, but all I felt in that instant was pure livid anger and disgust.
Footsteps approached the door, and with an impatient sigh, David got up and swung my unwilling body over his shoulders.
Beta Royce just walked in, his voice as cold and unfeeling as his blank expression.
“The car is here. Take her outside.”
“Yes, father.” Despite his heavy breaths, matching with mine from what had just almost ensued earlier, he kept a composed expression and demeanor as he carried me outside.
There was no point in struggling. What more could I do? I wouldn’t even consider begging David. I wish I had seen through the person I had thought I would spend the rest of my life with.
Matilda can have him, I didn’t care. I only hoped it wouldn’t be too late for her to see just what kind of person she was with.
There were two of Lucian’s men, both wearing uniforms with hid royal loo imprinted on them. Their faces were hardened and stoic, almost petrifying to look at. They were both very large and tall. One of them carried me with ease and tossed me to the back of the car without a word.
David stood there, a dark brooding gaze fixed on me as they drove off silently, not uttering a single word. But he was the only one who had even taken the courtesy of watching them take me away. None of my family members were present to bid me farewell, even to my death.
They really didn’t care
The ride to the pack was long but also very silent. The men barely acknowledged me at the back, barely even having said a word. The night got even darker by the time we finally approached the mighty gates of Alpha Lucian’s domain.
My heart pounded hard in my chest and my legs almost gave way as I stepped down the car to apprehend the large building before me. It was the largest and tallest I had ever seen, the peak towers cutting through the dark smoky clouds in the night sky. There were barely even any stars in the sky around this domain. Everything looked dark and gloomy.
Two maids approached me. One immediately brought out my luggage from the car and the two bowed in front of one of the men who had come for me. I noticed this man, unlike the other, had many more tags to his uniform and his hair was long and had a rich blonde color. “Welcome Beta Lucas.”
Beta.
He was Alpha Lucian’s Beta.
The other one who had carried me from David was quiet and barely paid heed to the maids as he silently drove the car alone to the garage. He was either a guard or the driver.
“Have her cleaned up and changed before she meets the Alpha.” He said in just one sentence which was powerful enough to leave me sick to my stomach from fear.
As they bowed again, he walked away, paying me no glance again, like he had forgotten about me, who was I to even demand another gaze from him when I was just a mere breeder.
The maids were quiet, yet very quick. In an hour’s time, they had unpacked in my new room, helped me bathe, dressed me up and dolled me up to meet the Alpha.
I looked at my recognizable reflection in the mirror. I was clad in a simple see through night gown with nothing underneath but a flimsy panty. My hair was let down and parted in the middle and my rosy cheeks were highlighted by some blush.
What was the use of admiring the person staring right back at me? I was a breeder. It was like how they fattened up a sheep before it was slaughtered. Not it had been done, I was been taken to the Alpha’s room to be slaughtered.
The maids left me alone in front of his room door after giving me instructions to knock and obey without hesitation. They mentioned how he didn’t like to repeat himself.
The knots in my stomach tightened as I contemplated running from all these, but I could only dream. It was impossible.
I knocked and held my breath.
“Enter.” A deep, cold chilling voice growled, and I swallowed before I pushed the open and entered.
The door shut behind me so suddenly, causing me to jump at my spot.
However, I hit something behind me in the process. In shock, I turned, and my blood froze, my face pale when I met two eyes gleaming like fire as they stared down into mine.
I stepped back reflexively, feeling his intimidating aura, clamp down on my throat like he was strangling me.
This was him? Alpha Lucian?
This man was far from ugly. That was the first thing that came to mind.
His hair was dark and long and his eyes, the color of fire were staring into mine cold. His handsome, chiseled features were contorted to a slight unfriendly frown as he dragged those eyes from mine, down to my body and back up.
My whole body trembled seeing the height of this man towering over me. And here I was thinking Beta Lucas was tall, this man was huge.
My head barely made it close to his chest. He was bare-chested, his muscular arms, large and intimidating as his chest, wide and hard, capable of breaking my head open like a coconut if I had hit it any harder when I jumped.
Alpha Lucas.
I wondered how many people this man has killed in the past.
How many people he has torture
And if he plans on doing the same with me.
Suddenly, he smirked. “I like what I see…” his smirk suddenly dropped as he raised his eyes to fix it in mine.
“Strip!” He ordered in a loud reverberating voice that sent chills to my spine.
