The familiar yet annoying alarm woke me from a sleep I didn't want to leave. After blindly turning it off, I stared at the ceiling to get my mind together. Monday morning. School. I turned and pulled the covers tighter around my shoulders and mentally planned my outfit and what I had to do during the day. Planning seems redundant when anything can disturb that but I like to keep things focused. I had to. Being at the back of the class was ideal for me. Why? So I can drown myself in thought without being bothered. I looked around my class and did something I was told never to do since I was eight. Relaxing I opened my mind to the students around me as I saw the confused stares I was receiving. I even saw a few girls whispering to each other and looking back at me. I focused on them and their thoughts came rushing to me. Apart from being a rare wolf, I learned that I have a gift. This is something that is genuinely different from other wolves. As I focused, everyone's thoughts were becoming clearer.

After that interesting history class, my other classes went by quickly. I placed the theories of my wolf aside. My parents won't lie to me. We were brought up, to be honest with each other. I'm a gift from Mother. I kept repeating that mantra to myself while hurrying along the corridor. I was so distracted with my million and one thoughts begging for my attention that I didn't notice someone walking toward me. I bumped into them causing my books to fall to the ground, all my notes were all over the floor. 'Shit. Sorry,' I said bending down to pick up my stuff not knowing who I bumped into. It was all my fault for thinking of stupid situations that resulted in my birth. Maybe I wanted to be considered that I'm not like my other pack members and began concocting fairy tale births.

Mason took his role as my beta already with us being friends since diapers. I'm not that optimistic about the other part of being Alpha. Finding my Luna. Everyone knew about my love for Emma. The Elders advised me to end it so I won't be hurt in the end. My father supported me but knew things won't work out the way we wanted. My dad adored her not because she was a white wolf, it was of the way how she talks to you and moves in a way that seems so angelic. She was graceful and respectful in a way most girls her age wasn't. Emma had all the characteristics of a great Luna.

Who would have thought the only time I got the chance to go traveling was running for my life? One of those bittersweet moments. We spent the day running in wolf form and dodging pack borders and rogues. I felt bad not being able to shift but they told me not to worry. It was keeping me safe. Safe. From what exactly. All I knew was my uncle wasn't to know of my existence. I know I should be asking lots of questions.
